Idhaa ya Kiswahili ya Sauti ya Amerika ilikuwa Idhaa ya kwanza ya lugha ya Kiafrika kuanzisha matangazo ya moja kwa moja kupitia mitambo ya Sauti ya Amerika mjini Washington D.C. Mwezi Mei 1964 matangazo ya dakika thelathini, ambayo yalikuwa yamerekodiwa kwenye ukanda kuanzia mwaka 1962, yaligeuzwa na kufanywa kipindi kinachotangazwa moja kwa moja, kila siku kutoka Washington, kikirudiwa na kuongezewa habari mpya, mara moja kwa siku.

Mwezi Mei 1966, matangazo hayo yaliongezewa dakika nyingine thelathini na kuwa matangazo ya saa moja kukiwemo muziki uliorekodiwa na vipindi mbalimbali kutokea mjini Monrovia, Liberia. Na mwaka uliofuata, 1967, Idhaa ya Kiswahili ya Sauti ya Amerika ilizindua matangazo ya moja kwa moja kutoka studio zetu hapa Washington D.C. Leo, Idhaa ya Kiswahili imo hewani kwa muda wa saa 9 na nusu kwa wiki.

Matangazo ya Idhaa ya Kiswahili huwafikia mamilioni ya wasikilizaji katika Afrika Mashariki na eneo la Maziwa Makuu. Kiswahili ni lugha rasmi katika nchi za Afrika mashariki na ni lugha inayopanuka nchini Congo, Rwanda na Burundi. Kiswahili vile vile ni lugha inayozungumzwa na kueleweka katika eneo la kusini mwa Somalia, Visiwa vya Comoro na sehemu za kaskazini mwa Msumbiji na Malawi.

Wajerumani walifika Tanganyika ili kutawala, waliunda kikundi cha watu kilichofanya kazi ya Polisi.

1916
Vita kuu ya kwanza ikiendelea Ulaya na Afrika, kundi la Maafisa 31 (NCO) kutoka Afrika Kusini wakiwa na silaha (Rifle) walifika Tanganyika kufanya kazi za Polisi.

1919
Tarehe 25 August 1919 Serikali ya Kiingereza ilitangaza katika Gazeti la Serikali No.Vol.1 No.21-2583 kuwa Jeshi la Polisi Tanganyika limeanzishwa rasmi. Makao Makuu ya Jeshi hilo yalikuwa Wilayani Lushoto chini ya uongozi wa Major S.T DAVIS.

Kundi lingine la Wakaguzi kutoka Ulaya lilifika nchini Tanganyika kuanzisha shule ya Mafunzo ya Polisi huko Morogoro.

Kituo cha kwanza rasmi cha Polisi nchini kilifunguliwa huko Lupa Tingatinga kwenye machimbo ya dhahabu Chunya.

Vijana mbalimbali wa Kiafrika toka shule mbalimbali za Sekondari Nchini walichaguliwa kujiunga na Jeshi la Polisi na kuwa Wakaguzi chini ya uangalizi (Probation Inspectors).

Tarehe 9 Desemba, 1961 Tanganyika ilipata uhuru wake. Baada ya uhuru, Jeshi la Polisi lilianza kubadili mwelekeo toka katika kutumikia Wakoloni na Walengwa wakawa ni Wananchi kwa mujibu wa sera za Serikali ya Wananchi.

A) Jamii Forums ilianzishwa lini? Na kwanini ikaitwa Jamii Forums na si jina lingine?

JamiiForums (jina) limeanza Mei 2008 lakini JamboForums (jina) lilianza mwaka 2006 Machi.

Kimsingi, historia ya JF (aidha iitwe JamiiForums au JamboForums) iko hivi:

JF imeanza mwaka 2006 mwezi Machi, ni baada ya kuwa tuna majukwaa mbalimbali kama Uchaguzi Tanzania, Tanzania Economic Forum, Habari Tanzania, Jambo Network, Jambo Radio na Jambo Videos.

Mkusanyiko wa majukwaa haya ulipelekea kuwa na kusanyiko moja ambalo kwa wakati huo (2006) tuliamua kuliita JamboForums.com, jina ambalo tulilitumia hadi mwezi Mei 2008 lakini ikatupelekea kubadilisha jina kwenda JamiiForums kutokana na mgongano wa matumizi ya jina la JamboForums ambapo tulikuwa hatujachukua copyrights (haki miliki) za jina ingawa baadaye tulifanikiwa kulimiliki kihalali. Hatukutaka kusimamisha moja kwa moja matumizi ya JF hivyo tukafikiria jina mbadala la JamboForums na kubaini kuwa tayari hili kusanyiko la wadau ni kusanyiko la Jamii, na bado Jamii ilikuwa ikiendelea kutunza JF kama wengi wanavyopenda kufupisha.

WHY GREEN LIGHT FOUNDATION
Imagine you are in a road with a long congested jam that cause significant delay to your work station or other destination , getting close to the Traffic signals , you see the Red Light is ON indicating that you have to stop the engine, Suddenly a bright Green Light turns ON and you are read to go ahead and move on with your journey with full swing.

Similarly as the name implies Green Light Foundation is committed and dedicated towards reducing or removing all stops, bumps, obstacles, stumbling blocks, barriers, impediments, barriers, disincentives, hardships, hindrances, hurdles and all challenges and problems that students, teachers, young people and general population of Zanzibar, Tanzania face that hindering or hampering their efforts and their endless journey to Education and Social Welfare, and Economic Development.

Notably, it is evident that within Zanzibar community we are already witnessing an annual ever- increasing of Development problems caused by various reasons. Most of these problems caused by lack of development knowledge to the community, increasing of school drop-outs to students, lack and poor employment opportunities, Environmental Degradations, and lack of proper knowledge in harnessing Information Communication Technology (ICT). Obviously this fact pose a very big challenge to our society as most of the community members loose hope of life, as they see and consider prosperous future for them as a distant dream. Consequently, these desperate community resort to and engage in a number of unethical, immoral and criminal activities including drug abuse, domestic violence, prostitution, burglary, terrorism, etc. Indeed it is of utmost paramount importance for everyone, deliberately to take individual and collective initiative, effort and responsibility that will ensure restoration of new hopes to the Zanzibar Community as our moral duty and obligation.

This can best be achieved by creating, supporting and promoting community awareness and participation through Supportive Development Educational efforts that encourages the community to become more obligatory and morally conscious and responsible public.
GREEN LIGHT FOUNDATION
members organize together consent, without being forced and establish this GREEN LIGHT FOUNDATION in collaboration, corporation and support from all sympathetic and goodwill individuals, institutions and organization, commits itself and strives to address the above mentioned problems accordingly and appropriately. We also envisioned a safer and greener planet through encouraging, mobilizing and facilitating best environmentally friendly alternatives and sustainable environmental practices for the benefit of today and tomorrow Generation.
OUR BACKGROUND
GREEN LIGHT FOUNDATION is a Non-profit, Non-governmental organization(NGO) based in Zanzibar, Tanzania that was originally founded and registered in 2013 as Gando Development Association (GDA) by a group of concerned and goodwill individuals from Zanzibar who themselves have encountered difficult and challenging situations towards accomplishing their Life goals due to the difficult social and economic conditions that they were facing in their journey to Education and other Socio-economic Development. GLF has been officially inaugurated and graced by His Excellence Hon: Ayoub Mohammed Mahmoud, Urban West Regional Commissioner in ZIC Conference room at Mpirani Zanzibar on 11th August 2017, an event that went along with giving awards and prizes to the best students who have excelled in Form VI Examinations ACSEE 2017 results. Green Light Foundation is not a new Association but rather a continuation of a long time concerted personal efforts, patriotism and dedication by Mr Salim Mussa Omar, the Co-founder of this Foundation who has been using much of his time and energy to serve his community and support young people in Zanzibar to meet their Education goals.
OUR BENEFICIERIES
GLF’s voluntary work benefits the students, teachers, academicians and young people in all Shehias in Zanzibar, specific focus is also given to the needy, orphans, school drop-outs, pregnant girls, marginalized and disadvantaged from poor background and the list includes people living with HIV/AIDS , people with Disability and other vulnerable groups.

GREEN LIGHT FOUNDATION (GLF) , a non- profit organization, was found and registered with Registration Number L.2106 in 16th January 2013 under the Societies Act No. 6 of 1995 in Zanzibar, Tanzania by a group of concerned, patriotic , goodwill and young individuals with the sole purpose of extending their hands to the community of Zanzibar and Tanzania at large towards tackling Education and Socio-economic problems facing Students, Teachers, Youth and General population such as, , School drop-out, Examinations failure, Unemployment , Drug abuse, HIV/AIDS and Misuse of the Environment.
WHERE DO WE WORK
Currently the Foundation is working in Zanzibar (/ˈzænzɪbɑːr/ ; (Arabic : ﺯﻧﺠﺒﺎﺭ Zanjibār) is a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania in East Africa, both in Unguja (Main Island) and Pemba. This includes both urban and rural areas around the isles.
WHO DO WE WORK WITH
In partnership and collaboration with others Stakeholders, GLF is meeting its desired objectives. Currently we work closely with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, Zanzibar Utilities Regulatory Authority (ZURA), People’s Bank of Zanzibar (PBZ), National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) , Zanzibar Social Services Fund, Zest Group Limited, ZanFresh Supermarket. GLF work with schools both public and private ones, Qur’anic Classes, and other learning centers in order to accomplish their objectives.

Matukio ya Kijamii maana yake, ni kumbukumbu za Matukio ambayo yanahifadhiwa katika Mamlaka za serikali zikijumuisha Vizazi, Vifo, Ndoa, Talaka na Utambulisho.
Matukio yote haya yanasajiliwa na kutolewa shahada au vitambulisho maalum ikiwa ni uthibitisho.
Mfumo wa Usajili unaotumika ni wa Kielektroniki badala ya wa njia ya kawaida.
Shahada ya Utambulisho itatolewa kwa Wazanzibari na wasiokuwa Wazanzibari kwa mujibu wa masharti ya kifungu Na. 27 cha sheria Na. 3 ya 2018.
